Accessible High Performance

The latest generation of the Viper series is the most accessible high performance PPG wing we have flown. It contains all of the World Championship winning speed, agility and performance of the Viper 5, with significantly improved comfort and ease of use.

The Viper XC is a fast, efficient, and fun to fly wing that balances comfort and performance for the advanced pilot. With easier launch and landing characteristics, improved roll stability, and the same incredible top speed of the Viper 5, this is an exciting wing for expedition and adventure flying.

Tech

The Viper 5 and Viper XC share the same cell count, profile, aspect ratio, and low-drag line plan. The Viper XC’s riser lines are sheathed for ease of use. Proven in countless PPG competitions including the World Championships, the Ozone reflex profile remains solid throughout the speed range and accepts low angles of attack, enabling a very high top speed.

The Viper XC features winglets for increased roll and spiral stability, making the wing easier to control, more efficient and more comfortable in flight. Their positive effect can be immediately felt regardless of wing loading, motor type, or style of flight. The increased roll stability is ideal for XC adventure at high speeds.

Risers

The dedicated Viper XC riser system is available in two versions. The standard risers are suitable for the majority of pilots and are shorter, simpler, and easier to use than the PK risers. The standard risers offer long range trimmers, fully adjustable brake pulley heights, neoprene brake handles and strong magnet clips. The PK risers are for pilots who want the direct action of the PK system for faster acceleration. Both risers feature the 2D steering system for efficient high-speed control.

Pilot

This is an advanced wing designed for experienced pilots. It is suitable for those who want to step up from the Speedster or Sirocco to a more comfortable and less demanding wing than the Viper 5 or Freeride. The Viper XC’s characteristics make it an ideal wing for the discerning advanced pilot who appreciates dynamic handling, but still wants efficiency and XC performance with high level of cruise stability.

The Viper 6 is a high-performance PPG wing designed for experienced pilots searching for the highest levels of efficiency, speed and performance. It features the latest design elements and technology taken directly from our high performance PG and PPG development programs to deliver an exciting wing that is fun to fly with performance levels ideal for long XC flying and high level classic competitions.

Higher performance allows for better fuel efficiency and extended XC flights, there is no need to fly over-powered. In thermal conditions its glide, sink rate and handling characteristics are similar to a free flight paraglider with very agile, fun handling and exceptional climb and glide performance.

DESIGN

The Viper 6 features winglets for improved roll stability, making it more efficient in straight flight with less parasitic roll movements requiring less pilot input. Winglets also aid in the spiral stability reducing the chances of remaining neutral in the spiral dive.

The internal structure has been strengthened in critical load areas to reduce the mechanical deformation of the ribs and diagonals. This results in better structural integrity of the wing, ensuring the sail retains its quality over time for better performance and longevity. The use of light weight siliconized Dominico N10D fabric reduces the overall weight of the sail for improved handling, greater feel and better inflation characteristics whilst the silicon coating significantly improves durability for a longer lifespan. The profile has been chosen to perfectly balance performance, solidity, efficiency and handling with minor modifications to the planform for a smoother more progressive rib alignment.

RISERS

The risers features colour coding to differentiate the risers, new maillon line keepers, brake handles with twist-preventing swivels and magnetic-lock clips. As standard, there is an Ozone PK system built into the risers and 2D steering system.

PILOT

Designed specifically for competent and experienced pilots, the Viper 6 is the World Champion’s choice and the perfect tool for classic competitions and XC flying.

The Freeride sits between the Viper and Speedster within the Ozone range. Designed specifically for slalom racing, it is the most agile and dynamic of all Ozone paramotor wings. It combines the speed, precision, and efficiency of the Viper along with the solidity, comfort, and ease of use of the Speedster. The mission of the Freeride 2 is to elevate excitement without compromising comfort and stability.

If you are a competitive high-level slalom pilot, the Freeride 2 Comp will be the best choice. If you search for a dynamic wing for carving aggressive lines, the Freeride 2 is a fun and efficient high-performance wing that delivers.

Agile and quick to turn

Tuned for slalom flying

High top speed

Ozone patented Shark nose technology

Equipped with 2D and AM slalom steering system

High collapse resistance

PILOT

The Freeride 2 is suitable for advanced pilots looking for a fast, efficient, and dynamic wing for low-level carving, freestyle, and fun flying. It is a step up from the Speedster but still easier to pilot than the Viper 5.

The dynamic flight characteristic, faster top speed, and more responsive, agile handling will appeal to the fun seeking experienced pilot.

The Freeride 2 is also available in a Competition version tuned specifically for top-level slalom racing pilots. Featuring unsheathed lines and more radical PK risers, it is possibly the most advanced tool for slalom racing.

THE TECH

The Freeride 2 retains the OZRP profile, which features shark nose openings and the highest levels of CM+ (reflex) within the Ozone range. A pure 4-line rigging design and a new internal structure have been employed to carefully control the angle of attack and increase the chord wise cohesion of the sail whilst accelerated. The overall effect is an increase in internal pressure throughout the speed range for a more forgiving behaviour in turbulence, greater resistance to spin at higher angles of attack and high levels of inherent stability at lower angles of attack. The efficiency of the sail has been further optimised with mini-ribs, 3D panel shaping, and finely tensioned plastic rods for a clean, wrinkle free leading edge.

RISERS

The new style risers features a new colour coding to differentiate the risers, new maillon line keepers, magnetic-lock brake handle clips and new brake handles with twist-preventing swivels. As standard, there is an Ozone PK system built into the risers and an option to install either 2D or “Mateos” style Slalom Steering Systems.
