LAUNCH, LANDING & FLIGHT

Launches and landings are particularly easy. Excellent roll stability, a pitch-stable profile, and rapid inflation characteristics mean that the Moxie Power launches easily even with minimum riser input. Due to a generous and responsive brake range, landings are highly forgiving even in instances of late-stage asymmetric brake input. The wing is highly stable in pitch and roll, which provides all phases of flight from launch to flare with a high degree of passive safety and comfort. The flight segment can only be described as reassuring, with enough responsiveness in the brake range to make the wing enjoyable to fly while providing peace of mind.

This is a highly dependable tool for instructors and can form the backbone of any school’s fleet whilst also meeting the demands of the newly qualified pilot. No other wing is so easy and also so capable.

FULL OF TECH

The Moxie Power contains an amount of technological features that may surprise you given the class and the cost of the wing.

Winglets – win-win feature, adding significant improvement to spiral and roll stability at no cost in performance – increasing both safety and handling, with no downsides.

Carefully engineered cell openings have eliminated any form of vibration or flutter that are frequently an issue in entry level wings.

Double transversal shaping tech from our competition wing series provides a perfectly wrinkle free leading edge, maximizing the glide performance available in this aspect ratio and profile.

An optimized line plan has reduced line drag by 18% compared to previous designs in this class of wing.

The Moxie-specific profile has been selected for the easiest possible inflation & ground handling characteristics, and passive safety, while maintaining excellent performance for the class. This all new profile has significantly reduced thickness which reduces the volume of air, which in turn makes inflation and launch much easier.

POWER RISERS

The Moxie Power risers feature a smooth trim system and a foot operated accelerator system to reach top speeds. The risers also feature adjustable brake pulleys so the height can be set to make it compatible with any type of power unit.

Based on the Buzz Z7

Versatile cross-over wing for paramotoring and paragliding

High-performance non-reflex Shark Nose profile

Easy and comfortable to fly

Dedicated risers featuring trimmers and tip steering system

Ideal for beginner/intermediate pilots who enjoy both paragliding and paramotor using only one wing

PEDIGREE

The Kona 3 is the PPG version of the Buzz Z7, sharing the same technology, cutting-edge performance, comfort and ease of use. It is the perfect cross-over wing that excels whether flown under power or in free flight.

DESIGN

New planform with increased wing sweep for improved roll stability

New rib alignment for improved airflow and efficiency.

New tab positioning improves stability in accelerated flight.

New leading edge construction with more reinforcement and cleaner profile.

New line rigging for improved load-distribution to increase agility.

New panel shaping in the trailing edge for improved handling and brake response.

All of these refinements have improved flight characteristics and performance. The first thing you will notice is a more linear and direct response in the brakes and the resulting increase in agility and precision of handling. Top speed has also been increased, and glide performance improved throughout the accelerator range.

COMFORT AND PROGRESSION

Above all else, the Kona 3 is easy to fly with intuitive, fun, progressive and precise feel through the brakes. It is highly compact, with perfectly coordinated roll and yaw for a sporty agile feel. Launching is a critical part of every flight, and we have paid particular attention to the ground-handling characteristics of the Kona 3. It inflates smoothly, without overshooting in higher winds and zero wind conditions there is no tendency to hang back.

All of these factors provide you with the confidence to progress and have fun, whether flying under power or in free-flight mode.

PILOT

The Kona 3 is suitable for a wide range of pilots from talented beginners to the most experienced, it is ideal for those who fly between around 30-50 hours per year and enjoy free flying as much as powered flight. Owning dedicated wings for both disciplines is expensive, the Kona 3 offers the perfect balance in one package.

POWER RISERS

The Kona PPG risers feature a smooth trim system for comfortable high speed cruising when flying under power and a foot operated accelerator system to reach top speeds and when free flying. The risers also feature tip steering system and adjustable brake pulleys so the height can be set to make it compatible with any type of power unit.

The Mojo PWR 2 is a truly versatile wing, ideal for those looking for a one-wing solution for both powered and free flight. The all new design features many optimisations and updates: reduced sail drag, reinforced and optimised line layout, reduced line consumption, newly-shaped wing tips for less roll and optimised cell openings for impeccable launching behaviour and improved full speed performance. Internally, the wing has been updated with a new structure and alignment of the rib holes for better structural stability and cohesion. The risers feature trimmers for fast cruising, adjustable pulleys to adjust the brake line lengths depending on your motor setup along with magnetic brake connectors.

- Versatility for both free-flight and PPG use

- EN A* and DGAC approved

- Precise and fun handling

- Ideal for your first 100 hrs of PPG flying

- Easy, smooth inflation

- Suitable for all types of motor units and trikes

Special attention has been made to the ground handling and inflation characteristics of the wing to make the whole launching process easier, less stressful and ultimately safer. Setting up is easy; the risers are simple and clean the wing inflates smoothly – without overshooting or hanging back – even in zero wind conditions. In stronger winds it inflates progressively with less tendency to “shoot up” and pull the pilot off their feet.

In the air the Mojo PWR 2 is agile, stable and comfortable with a sporty feel. The increased top speed and reduced tendency to oscillate improves the PPG experience when flown heavily loaded under power, and the tight sporty feel through the brakes when in free flight mode makes it ideal for thermalling, ridge soaring and XC flying. In active air the wing is compact and forgiving, it cuts through turbulence efficiently and is very resistant to deflations. It delivers gentle, predictable feedback and filters air movements in an understandable way. At full speed the leading edge remains solid allowing for a large usable speed range and high cruise speeds.

Brake pressure and brake precision have been further refined for improved handling – turns are easy to initiate, and the wing maintains bank angles whilst thermalling with minimal input and a sporty dynamic feel.

The balance of performance, safety and strength is an important consideration for any new pilot, and the Mojo PWR 2 combines EN A* rating with solidity, agility, low sink rate, and excellent glide performance that is necessary for short take off and low fuel consumption during long XC flights.

The Mojo PWR 2 is a versatile crossover wing which excels in both free flying and powered flight. It is suitable for students in all levels of training and also for the newly qualified who require an easy, safe and solid wing for their first 100s hours of paramotor experience as well as paragliding ridge soaring, thermalling and XC flying.
