Course Policies

Course Deposit

Deposits are non-refundable and will be credited towards the course tuition once it begins. In case a student can’t participate in the course as planned, the deposit can be refunded if a suitable replacement is immediately available. Course deposits can only be credited towards tuition for the training season the student originally intended to participate in.

Course Payment

Payment for course tuition is due prior to beginning the course unless other terms are explicitly agreed upon.

For the P2 Certification Course, the full tuition payment is invoiced upfront. The discount for purchasing new gear through the school is applied as a credit to the equipment invoice when the time comes. We do it this way so that students don’t feel pressured to commit to the gear purchase before beginning the course.

Payment options include cash, check, Venmo, Paypal, Zelle and credit card. A 3% fee will be applied to all credit card purchases.

Course Duration

Three Flight Intro Course: This course includes unlimited lessons for two months starting from the initial lesson date. Every intro course concludes at the end of the training season, they cannot be resumed the following season.

P2 Certification Course: This course includes unlimited lessons for one calendar year from the initial lesson. This course can be continued into the following training season if needed as long as the calendar year mark is not exceeded. Once the calendar year mark is reached, students that haven’t finished the course can choose to pay $500 for each month of training thereafter.

The vast majority of students are able to complete the P2 course in 2-4 months, depending on their availability for lessons. Students normally only exceed the one year mark if they are unable to attend lessons on a consistent basis.

Intro Course Credit Towards P2 Certification

Intro course students that continue directly into the P2 Certification Course can apply a credit for their intro course tuition towards the P2 Certification Course tuition. To receive this credit, the student must sign up for the P2 Certification Course within two weeks of completing the intro course. If the student completes their intro course in September or October, the credit can be applied towards the P2 Certification Course starting the following spring.

Equipment Purchase

Students participating in the P2 Certification Course are expected to purchase their own equipment during the course once they’re competent enough on school equipment to do so safely. This is usually after about 10 training flights. More info about this is available on the website’s P2 Certification page.

Refunds

Refunds are not available for the Three Flight Intro Course or the P2 Certification Course.
