Iquique offers some of the most breathtaking moments one can experience under a paraglider. Hundreds of kilometers of endlessly soarable ridges running up the spine of the Atacama Desert, tall sandy dunes you can drag your toes through, and an entire city you can cruise over.
Pilots can count on logging hours of easy airtime everyday. Iquique offers an endless buffet of soaring, thermaling and kiting in the most unique landscape we’ve encountered to date.
Alto Hospicio is the daytime ridge soaring and thermaling site that offers XC opportunities for all levels. Palo Buque is the evening dune soaring site that offers hours of kiting and soaring until sunset.
Pilot Skill Level
This trip is appropriate for every level of pilot. The opportunity to soak up hours of airtime and kiting time each day allows pilots to level up their skills quickly. Iquique offers surreal views and one of a kind flying experiences that are worth a visit at least once in a pilot’s career.
A minimum of a P2 Certification is required to participate.
Logistics
All you need to do is sign up, book your flight, and we’ll handle the rest. Your fee covers all transportation, accommodation and instruction.
Accommodation
We stay at a luxurious hotel two blocks away from the landing zone on Playa Brava. The facilities are modern with all of the amenities you’d expect back home.
